On 29th October 2026 peacefully after a short illness, aged 77 years.
Most dearly loved wife and soul mate of Graham (Fonzie) for 58 years.
Loved and adored mother of Marie (dec), and Tracey and Adam and mother-in-law of Mark and Jo.
Caring and selfless grandmother of Bailey, Tarron and Lara; Olle and Mary, Paris and George; Amba and Denzyl, and Brooke.
A loved and respected sister and sister law of John; Ray and Dianne (dec), John and Judy, Elaine and Len, and Paul and Julie.
Loved aunt of all her nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
At Vida’s request please wear your brightest colours.

Friends are invited to attend a celebration of Vida’s life in the Forrest Lawn Chapel, 208 Guyton Street, Whanganui on Monday 2nd November 2026 at 1.30pm to be followed by a private cremation.

I’m so sorry to hear of your lovely mum’s passing. I’m so grateful I had the chance to see her when I was home recently—a visit I will now treasure even more.

Through my friendship with Maree, your family has always held a special place in my heart. Remembering them both brings back so many memories, and I’m sending you all much love as you say goodbye to your mum.

I hope you find comfort in your memories of her and in having each other close. Thinking of you all with love ❤️

Vidz was such a presence at the WINZ office, especially amongst her colleagues. Nothing was ever a problem, and she always showed beautiful Manaaki to the clients.
Thank you for being such a good friend over the years e hoa.

Vida, a beautiful lady from a great family. When I wind the clock back many great memories. Vida always made you feel welcome into her life and home.
I am sure you will all have many great memories to cherish.
I feel very blessed that I got to see Vida just over a week ago. She was then, and always was a ray of sunshine.
